I’m so glad you went out to today and captured the beauty of a flowing creek and beautiful ice diamonds. Here in interior Alaska our creeks and rivers have been frozen solid for several months! Thank for sharing!
It’s been freeze-thaw-freeze-thaw here. The roads are treacherous at times, but it does make for interesting ice formations. When we lived in the north I remember winter being relentless, but that’s when we actually got more work done, because it was too dark and cold to be outside. I’m sure you bring a light in the darkness.
Yes, although winter can be relentless, it is a beautiful season. (It lasts nearly nine months here.) We have had frigid temperatures of -30 F to -50 F. There is an ice craving festival and they are finding the ice too brittle in the cold. Life continues but with mostly indoors. Still there are those who bicycle and walk in these extreme temperatures. It is a great time for getting things done and letting our light shine!
I remember ice fog and square tires and loud snow. When it was too hard on the vehicles to drive them a short distance we would add a few more layers and walk -often arriving with icicles on our eyelashes. But there was always a warm welcome on the other end. I love your post today about not cursing the darkness, but rather being a light in the darkness. Beautiful!
God’s creation is amazing! So so wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
