Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.

In his shelter in the day of trouble,
That’s where you’ll find me,
For he hides me there in his holiness.
He has smuggled me into his secret place
Where I’m kept safe and secure–
Out of reach from all my enemies.
Triumphant now I’ll bring him my offerings of praise,
Singing and shouting with ecstatic joy!
(Psalm 27: 5,6 The Passion Translation)

We always know when Jesus is at work because He produces in the common place something that is inspiring.
~ Oswald Chambers
No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace as I have seen in one autumnal face.
-John Donne

-Os Guinness
The fullness of Joy is to behold God in everything.
– Julian of Norwich
What were we made for?
To know God.
What aim should we have in life?
To know God.
What is the eternal life that Jesus gives?
To know God.
What is the best thing in life?
To know God.
What in humans gives God most pleasure?
Knowledge of himself.
-J. I. Packer
Depression tends to turn us away from the everyday things of God’s creation. But whenever God steps in, His inspiration is to do the most natural, simple things- things we would never have imagined God was in, but as we do them we find Him there.
-Oswald Chambers
