As you live this new life, we pray that you will be strengthened from God’s boundless resources, so that you will find yourselves able to pass through any experience and endure it with courage.
You will even be able to thank God in the midst of pain and distress because you are privileged to share the lot of those who are living in the light.
For we must never forget that he rescued us from the power of darkness, and re-established us in the kingdom of his beloved Son, that is, in the kingdom of light.
(Colossians 1: 11-14 Phillips)
Thanks for this! I needed this encouragement today. I have had a really good month with lower pain levels than I have experienced in years! I have had cortisone injections and a nerve block injection and lots of prayer. This week I’ve had muscle spasms and pain. Aargh! I keep on looking to God to be my strength and my light. I read and wrote out Psalm 34:1-6 and then listened to and sang, “Ever Be” by Aaron Shust. Praise and turning things over to God changes everything! Praying for you as you drive, for safety and a smooth trip. I’m also praying against fear or anxiety an that all will go well with your surgery tomorrow. God bless you! Love Susan
