Snow that falls at temperatures just below the freezing mark is soft and absorbs sound. But that 40 below stuff is loud and squeaky when you walk on it! I’m glad you enjoy it though. How much sunlight are you getting now?
The sun rose at 10:43 a.m. and set at 2:43 p.m. today. Haven’t seen 40 below yet this winter, it’s been unusually mild. Just below 0 F. But it looks like a Christmas card beautiful thick layers of snow on the spruce tree branches. We have had more snow with warmer temperatures, Also the aurora borealis dances across the sky!
Agree, snow is peaceful and tranquil. Living in the far North, I get to enjoy it from September to early May!
