You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
(Isaiah 55:12 NIV)
I wish you could have walked beside the lake with me yesterday. It was 21 degrees, the birds were singing (and I could hear them!), the water perfectly calm and I had the whole place to myself (well, me and God). It brought such peace to my soul I had to share it. My heart sang too.
God is so good.
I have been having a little wander on your blog and am agasp at the place where you live. It is so beautiful and you capture it so, so well, too. The patches of glowing light in so many of these images is so lovely.
You are very welcome to wander! And thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It means a lot to me.
I do love the place where we live (I hope it shows). You can blame my dad. He bought a house on the west side of Calgary facing the mountains and every free day we could, we would drive westward, even if only for a few hours. Now all of his kids live in the mountains, but all of ours have moved back to the prairies. I think about moving closer to them and the grandchildren, but I would have to drag the mountains with me. The clouds and light are different here. I joke that I need a bumper sticker that says, “This vehicle breaks for lighting conditions.”
Blessings on your day, Neil!
