Thanks, Debbie. God is good. He will never leave us or forsake us, but he will shake things up if we cling too tightly to the old when it’s time to move on in trust. I have often been guilty of making idols of the people he has placed in my path to help me. It’s never comfortable to get the boot out of the nest.
I love the example of Priscilla and Aquila when they met Apollos, whose teaching was incomplete. They took him aside, taught him more thoroughly, built him up, and released him. He went on to be a great influence for the kingdom. I like their response so much better than those who publicly denounce anyone who doesn’t have everything together.
