Seeing

But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;  for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. -Jesus (Matthew 13: 16, 17 NKJV)

Many people see with their eyes. Some see with their hearts. Fewer take the time to turn, and paying attention, see and hear with the Spirit.

  2. Whips I wasn’t finished and accidentally hit the send button. Gehazi’s eyes were opened and he saw numerous angels and fiery chariots from heaven stationed around the city. The truth was and is that there are more with us than against us.

    1. I love this story! There is truth (they were surrounded by an enemy army) and there is greater truth (the enemy army was surrounded by a heavenly army). Sometimes faith means stilling our hearts until we can see the bigger picture.

      1. Yes! God is always with us, but we act like we are abandoned because we do not still ourselves Enough to hear his voice. Yes, this is one of my favorite passages. I want to see the angelic army and disregard the earthly army that threatens. It works out so much better when I fully depend on God not myself!
