I am not overcome by fear.
Because You are with me in those dark moments,
near with Your protection and guidance,
    I am comforted.

You care for all my needs, anointing my head with soothing, fragrant oil,
filling my cup again and again with Your grace.

Certainly Your faithful protection and loving provision will pursue me

I will always be with the Eternal,
    in Your house forever.

Thank You, Lord. I just thank You.

Thank you for everything.

You are good.

    1. The first one is near Fernie, B.C. Is that the one you meant? The others are mostly in South Eastern British Columbia and the sunset sky was taken in High River, Alberta, near my son’s place.
I have another ten hour drive ahead of me tomorrow, Melody. Sometimes I tempted to feel tired before I even start, but then I remember that tourists pay a lot of money for the chance to see what we see every day. I am grateful for such beauty. It’s never the same. The scenery constantly changes with the light and with the seasons. I do love living in this part of the world.

      1. How are your High River folks doing? They have had an incredibly tough year… I haven’t been out your way for a few years and my heart hungers for the mountains. I worked for several summer seasons in Banff years ago and fell in love with the Rockies completely. I need my ‘fix’ now and then – thanks for your posts, which help to do just that!

      2. It continues to be a tough time for my High River folk, Melody. I wrote about it here:https://charispsallo.wordpress.com/2013/10/08/high-rivers-higher-calling/
Yesterday they returned to the house to work on it only to discover a newly installed pipe had burst and it is flooded again and some of the things they had managed to save last time and had moved into the house for storage were destroyed -like photos and scrapbooks. It breaks my heart. Pray for them if you remember. They are exhausted -as are many, many other folk in the town. The story has fallen out of the news headlines, and donations of help and other useful commodities have fallen off dramatically, but with winter coming they are needed more than ever. A lot of people there are feeling somewhat abandoned because the task of re-building is so enormous. Think New Orleans.
Still, amazingly, they are thankful they are all alive and sheltered and fed, and that even though this school is a tough one, they are learning valuable lessons. As am I. God is still good.
I passed through Banff yesterday. Wonderful colours! Glorious sunshine! You should have been there!
